Website Indexing Issues

Hello everyone, I launched my website a year ago and have been working on its SEO for over 6 months. On October 30, 2024, I added it to Google Search Console and it quickly ranked 4th. I made some bug fixes on November 3, such as fixing the customer portal and login button. After reindexing, my website has disappeared from search results. This is causing me a lot of stress as it is a new issue for me. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks, Arya.

It’s possible that the bug fixes you made, specifically those related to the customer portal and login button, inadvertently introduced issues that Google’s crawlers are now flagging. This could be causing your site to be penalized or even excluded from the search results.

Here are some steps you can take to investigate and potentially resolve the issue:

  • Check for broken links and 404 errors: Make sure all links on your website are working correctly, especially those related to the customer portal and login button. Use tools like Google Search Console’s “Crawl Errors” report or a third-party website crawler to identify any broken links.
  • Inspect the robots.txt file: Ensure your robots.txt file hasn’t been accidentally modified or is blocking Google’s crawlers from accessing important sections of your website, including the customer portal.
  • Review your website’s code: Look for any errors in your website’s code, particularly in areas related to the customer portal and login button. Errors can cause Google’s crawlers to have difficulty indexing your site.
  • Check for indexing issues: Use Google Search Console’s “Coverage” report to identify any indexing errors or issues related to your website. You may need to resubmit your sitemap or request a manual crawl if necessary.
  • Analyze your website’s security: Make sure your website is secure and free of malware. Security issues can impact your search rankings.
  • Use a website speed testing tool: Ensure your website is loading quickly, as slow website speeds can negatively affect your search rankings.

If you’re still experiencing indexing issues after addressing these factors, it’s recommended to seek assistance from a professional SEO expert or a website developer to help identify and resolve the root cause.
