Using the same product title on multiple different products?

I am a seller of car and motorcycle posters, and I usually use the same title format for all my products, such as "Toyota Camry Automotive Car Poster." However, SEMRush is flagging this as an issue due to having repeated title tags. Some of my posters are quite similar, so I'm wondering if it's necessary to have completely unique titles. Would adding version numbers like Ver. 001, Ver. 002, etc. be a potential solution?

It is generally recommended to have unique titles for each product, even if they are similar. While using a consistent format for titles is beneficial, having duplicate titles can negatively impact your search engine ranking.

SEMrush is correctly identifying this as an issue because search engines like Google prefer websites with unique content. Duplicate titles can be seen as a sign of low-quality content and can lead to lower search rankings.

Adding version numbers like Ver. 001, Ver. 002, etc. might not be the most effective solution. While it adds uniqueness to the titles, it can make them appear less natural and may not be easily understood by customers.

Instead of adding version numbers, consider focusing on creating more descriptive and specific titles for each product. Highlight the unique features or variations of each poster, such as the color, year, or specific model of the vehicle. This will not only make your titles more unique but also more relevant to potential customers.

For example, instead of “Toyota Camry Automotive Car Poster,” you could use titles like:

  • “1998 Toyota Camry Automotive Car Poster”
  • “Red Toyota Camry Automotive Car Poster”
  • “Black and White Toyota Camry Automotive Car Poster”

By incorporating specific details into your titles, you can improve the relevance and uniqueness of your product listings, leading to better search engine rankings and ultimately, increased sales.
