Ranking for keyword dropped

Hello! My primary keyword has fallen from the second page to the last page of Google search results. Meanwhile, my other keyword is still ranking on the first and second pages. I'm unsure why this drop happened. Interestingly, my Instagram account is still ranking on the first page of Google for the keyword that has dropped. Can you please assist me with this issue?

Several factors could contribute to a sudden drop in your keyword ranking. Here are some possibilities:

  • Algorithm Updates: Google frequently updates its search algorithms. These updates can significantly impact website rankings, sometimes causing unexpected drops.
  • Website Changes: Have you made any recent changes to your website, such as updating content, redesigning the layout, or adding new pages? These modifications could inadvertently affect your search engine optimization (SEO) and impact your rankings.
  • Competitor Actions: Your competitors might have improved their SEO efforts, resulting in higher rankings and pushing your website down the search results.
  • Backlink Issues: A sudden loss of backlinks from reputable websites can significantly impact your website’s authority and ranking. This could be due to spammy backlinks being penalized or websites removing links from your site.
  • Technical Issues: Website errors such as broken links, slow loading times, or mobile-friendliness issues can negatively affect your SEO and lead to lower rankings.
  • Keyword Saturation: The keyword you’re focusing on might have become too competitive, with numerous other websites vying for the same position. This could make it challenging to rank highly for that specific keyword.

Your Instagram account ranking highly for the same keyword suggests that Google considers Instagram a reputable source for that particular topic. This reinforces the importance of building a strong online presence across different platforms to enhance your overall SEO.

To diagnose the cause of your ranking drop, analyze your website’s SEO performance using tools like Google Search Console and examine the factors mentioned above. Addressing any issues identified can help you regain your previous rankings.
