I have a site with a LOT of urls, huge numbers of both indexed and not indexed. In your experience, if I made serious updates to say 1 - 50 pages that indicate high value, would this impact other pages as well?
It’s highly unlikely that updating a small subset of pages on a large website would have a significant impact on the rankings of other pages. Google’s algorithms are sophisticated and focus on analyzing the entire website as a whole. While updating high-value pages can potentially improve their individual rankings, it’s not likely to lead to widespread changes across your entire site. Think of it like this: Google sees your website as a collection of interconnected pages, each with its own relevance and value. Updating a few pages doesn’t necessarily change the overall context or authority of your website.
