Not seeing my blog post in search results after “request indexing” in Google Search Console

I am a new blogger writing about lists and checklists. I published a blog post on October 29th dedicated to National Checklist Day, which is celebrated on the 30th. I requested indexing so that it would be visible the next day, but I still cannot find it on Google. Even when I search for it directly using specific keywords, I only see other pages and not my blog post. Google Search Console shows that it has been crawled. What could be the reason for this unusual behavior?

There are several reasons why your blog post might not be appearing in Google Search results, even though Google Search Console shows it has been crawled:

  • It takes time for Google to index new content. Google is constantly crawling and indexing the web, but it can take some time for your blog post to be included in the search results. Try waiting a few days or even a week to see if it appears.
  • Your blog post might be too new. Google prioritizes older and more established websites. If your blog is new, it may take longer for your content to be indexed and ranked.
  • The post may not meet Google’s quality guidelines. Google prioritizes high-quality content. If your blog post is poorly written, thin in content, or lacks originality, it may not be considered valuable enough to be ranked.
  • There are technical issues with your blog post. Make sure your blog post is correctly formatted, includes proper keywords, and is accessible to search engines.
  • You might be experiencing a temporary Google indexing glitch. While rare, Google’s indexing system can sometimes experience temporary hiccups. In this case, you can try requesting indexing again after a few days.

While you wait, you can try these tips to improve your chances of getting your blog post indexed:

  • Share your blog post on social media. This will help increase visibility and attract backlinks, which can improve your search ranking.
  • Promote your blog post on other websites. Guest blogging, forum posting, and commenting on relevant articles can help get your blog post in front of a wider audience.
  • Use relevant keywords. Ensure your blog post is optimized for relevant keywords that people are likely to search for.
  • Build quality backlinks. Backlinks are links from other websites to your blog post. They are a signal to Google that your content is valuable and trustworthy.

By following these tips and giving Google some time to index your content, you can increase your chances of seeing your blog post appear in search results.
