Hello everyone,I am new to SEO and trying to improve the ranking of my webpage. My main issue is that my landing page is not ranking for its intended keywords at all. Despite having the keywords in my h1 main title, h2 titles, Title Tag, main banner alt text, and general text across the landing page, the page does not show up anywhere on search engine tools like GSC or Semrush. I am unsure why this is happening as the keywords are crawled and indexed. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as this situation seems unusual and I am not sure what I may be missing.
Thank you for your help.
There could be a few reasons why your Shopify store isn’t ranking for your target keywords, even with proper keyword placement.
- Competition: The keywords you’re targeting might be extremely competitive. Even with perfect on-page optimization, you might need to build more authority and backlinks to outrank established competitors.
- Keyword Density: While you’re using the keywords, are you overusing them? Search engines can penalize sites for keyword stuffing. Focus on natural, conversational language.
- Content Quality: Is your content engaging and informative? Search engines prioritize high-quality content that provides value to users.
- Technical SEO Issues: Check for broken links, slow loading times, or other technical issues that might hinder your website’s performance.
- Domain Authority: If your website is new, it may not have enough authority to rank for competitive terms. Building backlinks and creating valuable content can help increase your domain authority over time.
Start by performing a thorough audit of your website to identify any potential issues. Consider tools like Google Search Console and SEMrush to analyze your website’s performance and identify areas for improvement. You can also try targeting less competitive long-tail keywords to see if you can achieve some initial ranking success.
