In need of help: Page NOT displayed on SERP but stated as indexable. No manual actions detected. What can it be?

Hello,

I am very confused about the situation I am facing. I have a successful article on my website that guides players in a game. However, when I checked the search engine results page (SERP), I couldn’t find it.

I tested the URL on search console and it was fine. I also checked for any manual or security actions taken, but found nothing wrong.

Even when I use the “site:” function in the search bar, the specific page doesn’t show up. All my other pages appear normally.

Does anyone know what could be causing this issue? Could it be due to duplicate content? How can I troubleshoot this problem?

Thank you in advance for any help and advice!

It’s possible that the page is being indexed, but not ranking well enough to appear on the SERP. While your page is listed as indexable, it might not be ranking high enough to be visible in the search results.

Here are some additional possibilities to consider:

  • Crawl budget limitations: If your site is large or has a complex structure, Google’s crawler may not be able to crawl all of your pages as often. This could prevent your page from being updated in the search index.
  • Lack of backlinks: A lack of backlinks can negatively impact a page’s ranking, as Google uses them as a signal of a page’s authority and relevance.
  • Outdated content: Google may be prioritizing more relevant and up-to-date content, which could be pushing your page down in the rankings.
  • Technical issues: There could be technical issues on your site, such as slow loading times, broken links, or poor mobile usability, that are affecting your page’s visibility.

To troubleshoot, you can:

  • Check for technical issues: Use Google Search Console to identify any technical problems that could be affecting your page’s visibility.
  • Analyze backlinks: Use a backlink checker tool to assess your page’s backlink profile and see if there are any opportunities to improve it.
  • Update your content: Make sure your content is up-to-date, relevant, and provides value to your target audience.
  • Promote your page: Share your page on social media, forums, and other relevant platforms to increase its visibility and attract more traffic.
  • Improve your on-page SEO: Make sure your page includes relevant keywords, has a clear structure, and is optimized for search engines.

Remember, it takes time and effort to improve your search engine ranking. Be patient and persistent, and you will eventually see positive results.
