Google refuses to index my pages for weeks and I've no idea why

A few months ago, I changed the direction of a project and attempted to set up a permanent redirect for some pages to benefit the new project. Unfortunately, this caused Google to deindex both pages, resulting in a significant drop in traffic. Despite using the same Search Console for both projects and having clear redirects, Google misunderstood the purpose of the redirect and deindexed the pages.

After receiving advice from others, I reverted the changes and made the original project pages resemble the new project, which successfully restored traffic. However, I am now facing issues with Google ignoring my requests to crawl new pages for the pivot project. Despite creating quality content with no spam, Google is not indexing the pages. Only two pages (the home page and one more) have been indexed, and my requests for crawl are not being acted upon.

Despite gaining backlinks, sign-ups, and clients, Google does not seem to recognize the legitimacy of the new project. I suspect this is due to Google flagging the domain after the failed redirect attempt, causing them to ignore further indexation requests. I am unsure of what steps to take next and seek advice on how to resolve this issue and convince Google of the project’s legitimacy. Any suggestions or tools to help would be greatly appreciated.

It is possible that Google is still penalizing your domain due to the previous redirect issue. The search engine might perceive the website as unreliable or untrustworthy, especially if the initial redirect was not set up correctly. To address this, ensure that your website has no technical errors, broken links, or other issues that could negatively affect its performance. You should also make sure that your website is mobile-friendly and has a fast loading speed.

Additionally, consider creating more high-quality content on your website. This can help to improve your website’s authority and credibility in Google’s eyes. Focus on creating content that is relevant to your target audience and provides value to them. Promote your content through social media and other channels to attract more backlinks and increase traffic to your website.

If you haven’t already, submit your website to Google Search Console to monitor your website’s performance and identify any potential issues. You can also use tools like SEMrush or Ahrefs to analyze your website’s backlinks and identify any problematic ones.

Finally, be patient. It may take some time for Google to re-index your website and recognize the legitimacy of your new project.
