I recently posted about fake reviews or commented on a post about fake reviews. With the help of the Google Investigation Team, we were able to determine the location of the company responsible, which happens to be in the same building as us. This discovery made me very angry, and I wanted to confront them, but my colleagues pointed out that there are many companies in our building, and it would be difficult to identify the exact culprit. This was my first time realizing how many floors our building has, as there are a lot of companies located here.
It’s understandable to feel angry when you discover fake reviews, especially if the company responsible is located in your building. Your colleagues are right; identifying the specific company responsible would be challenging with multiple businesses sharing the same space. You might consider exploring ways to anonymously report the fake reviews to the platform where you found them, as well as to the company or organization that regulates such practices. Many platforms have mechanisms for reporting suspicious activity, and they often take action to remove fake reviews.
