Does Using the Same Images on Two Different Blogs Hurt SEO?

Hello everyone,

I manage two websites - one for my main company and another targeting international audiences which is a branch of the main company. I create unique blog posts for each website, one in the company’s native language and another in English. Even though the topics may overlap, the content is not translated but rather written separately.

I typically use the same images for both blog posts. I am wondering if this could negatively impact my SEO. Should I be sourcing different images for the second blog to prevent any potential problems?

Using the same images on two different blogs can potentially hurt your SEO. Duplicate content is a known issue for search engines. While using the same images may not be as problematic as copying entire blog posts, it can still confuse search engines and lead to penalties.

It’s best to source different images for each blog to ensure unique content and optimize your SEO. This allows search engines to properly index and rank your websites separately.
