Hello everyone,I have a question regarding some pages that show up in Google Search Console as “Crawled - currently not indexed.” However, when I inspect each of these pages on the same platform, they appear as indexed.
Is there a problem here? Has anyone else experienced this before?
Thank you!
It’s possible that there’s a discrepancy between Google Search Console’s indexing status and the actual indexing of your pages. This can happen for various reasons:
- Indexing Delays: Google takes time to crawl and index new pages. The “Crawled - currently not indexed” status might indicate that the page has been crawled but hasn’t yet been fully processed and indexed.
- Indexing Issues: There could be technical issues preventing Google from indexing your pages properly. This could include broken links, slow loading times, or a sitemap that’s not properly configured.
- Temporary Fluctuations: Indexing can fluctuate due to Google’s algorithms and updates. A page that was previously indexed might be temporarily dropped from the index until Google re-crawls and re-evaluates it.
- Data Synchronization: It’s also possible that there’s a delay in the data synchronization between Google’s systems and Search Console. This could lead to a mismatch between the information displayed in Search Console and the actual indexing status.
To address the issue, you can:
- Check for Technical Issues: Make sure your website meets Google’s indexing guidelines. Analyze your website for broken links, slow loading times, and other technical problems that might hinder indexing.
- Submit Your Sitemap: Ensure that your sitemap is correctly submitted to Google Search Console and that it includes all relevant pages.
- Re-submit URLs: You can manually submit specific URLs to Google Search Console for re-crawling and re-indexing.
- Wait and Monitor: Give Google some time to re-crawl and re-index your pages. Keep an eye on the indexing status in Search Console over the next few days or weeks.
- Contact Google Support: If the issue persists, consider contacting Google Search Console support for assistance.
