Hello everyone,I am currently involved in a project where I am creating numerous interlinks between pages using images with embedded links instead of standard text links. I have observed that my outbound links are being monitored, but it appears that my inbound links are not being properly tracked on my wordpress dashboard. This concern me in terms of how it could affect my SEO performance.
Has anyone else faced this problem before? Are image links as effective for SEO as text links, or should I prioritize text-based internal links? Any insights or suggestions on this matter would be highly appreciated.
Thank you in advance!
Image links are generally not as effective for SEO as text links. Search engines can’t easily crawl and understand the content of images, making it harder for them to determine the relevance and value of the linked page.
While images can be visually appealing and engaging, they lack the semantic context that text links provide. Text links explicitly tell search engines what the linked page is about, which helps improve your website’s SEO performance.
In your case, the lack of tracking for inbound image links is a significant issue. It indicates that search engines are having difficulty understanding and associating those links with your content. This could lead to lower search rankings and decreased organic traffic.
To optimize your website’s SEO, it’s recommended to prioritize text-based internal links. They provide a clear signal to search engines about the relationships between your pages, enhancing your website’s navigation and content structure. While images can still play a role in your content, they should not be relied upon as the primary method of linking.
