I recently changed my WordPress theme to a faster one called Astra, but my rankings have dropped significantly. I am not sure if it is due to the June Google update or an issue with my site. In Google Search Console, I noticed that some important pages, including the main domain name, are showing as having redirects and not being indexed, even though they are clearly visible in Google search and are in the sitemap. I am unsure how to resolve this issue. According to Google help, a page with a redirect is considered non-canonical and will not be indexed. The target URL of the redirect may or may not be indexed, depending on Google's evaluation of it.
It’s possible that the issue is with the new Astra theme. Some users have reported similar issues after switching themes, suggesting that the theme may be causing redirect issues. Google Search Console might be picking up on these redirects, even though the pages are still visible in search results. It is recommended to investigate the theme’s configuration for any potential redirect settings or conflicts that may be causing these issues.
